Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how The Lyrically Book LLC ("Lyrically," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you use the Lyrically platform at lyrically.app, our related websites, and any associated services (collectively, the "Services").
Lyrically is a marketplace that connects music artists with brands for partnership and promotional opportunities. Because we serve both artists and brands, the way we handle your information may depend on how you use the Services.
By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide to us
-
Account and profile information. When you register, we collect details such as your name, email address, password, phone number, social media handles (including Instagram), profile photo, biography, location, and role (artist or brand).
-
Artist content. If you are an artist, we collect the music, audio, video, images, captions, and other media you upload or link, along with associated metadata and rights information you provide.
-
Brand and campaign information. If you are a brand, we collect company details, campaign briefs, budgets, and the materials you share to set up partnerships.
-
Payment information. When you send or receive payments, our payment processor collects and processes your payment details (see Section 5). We do not store full card or bank account numbers on our systems.
-
Communications. Messages you exchange with other users through the platform, and any correspondence you send to us directly (such as support requests).
-
Identity and tax information. Where required to facilitate payouts or comply with law, we (or our processors) may collect tax identification details and verification documents.
Information we collect automatically
-
Usage data. How you interact with the Services, including pages viewed, features used, deals initiated, search activity, and timestamps.
-
Device and technical data. IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and referring URLs.
-
Cookies and similar technologies. See Section 6.
Information from third parties
-
Social and authentication providers. If you connect or sign in through a third-party account (such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, or Google), we may receive profile information consistent with your settings on that service.
-
Social platform engagement and analytics data. When you connect a social media account — including Meta platforms (Instagram and Facebook) and TikTok — or otherwise authorize us to access it, we collect engagement and performance data made available through those platforms' APIs. This may include your follower and following counts, views, plays, likes, comments, shares, saves, reach and impressions, engagement rates, post and content performance, and aggregate audience insights such as audience location, age ranges, and activity patterns. We use this data to verify reach, match artists with relevant brands, and measure the performance of partnerships. We access this information in accordance with each platform's terms and your permissions, and you can disconnect a connected account at any time, though doing so may limit certain features.
-
Payment processors and verification partners. Confirmation of transactions, payout status, and identity-verification results.
-
Other users. Information shared about you in the course of a partnership or transaction.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
-
Operate, maintain, and provide the Services, including matching artists with brands and facilitating partnerships;
-
Analyze social media engagement and audience data from connected accounts (such as Meta and TikTok) to verify reach, surface relevant matches, and report on partnership performance;
-
Create and manage your account and profile;
-
Process transactions, hold funds in escrow, and disburse payouts;
-
Enable communication and collaboration between artists and brands;
-
Support compliance with music rights, licensing, and advertising disclosure obligations (such as FTC requirements);
-
Provide customer support and respond to your requests;
-
Send transactional messages, service updates, and, where permitted, marketing communications;
-
Monitor, analyze, and improve the Services and develop new features;
-
Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our terms;
-
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
We rely on the following legal bases where applicable (e.g., for users in the UK/EU): performance of a contract, our legitimate interests, your consent, and compliance with legal obligations.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information in the following circumstances:
-
Between marketplace participants. As a core function of the platform, artist profile and content information is made available to brands, and brand and campaign information is made available to artists, so that partnerships can be discovered, negotiated, and completed. Your public profile may be visible to other users.
-
Service providers. With vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, payment processing, identity verification, analytics, customer support, and email delivery. These providers are permitted to use your information only as needed to perform services for us.
-
Legal and safety. When we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law, respond to legal process, protect the rights, property, or safety of Lyrically, our users, or others, or to investigate fraud or security issues.
-
Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
-
With your direction or consent. When you ask us to share information or otherwise consent to sharing.
4. Public Information and Content
Information you choose to make public — such as your artist profile, linked media, and certain partnership details — may be visible to other users and, depending on your settings, to the broader public. Please be thoughtful about what you share. Content posted as part of a brand partnership may be displayed publicly in accordance with the relevant agreement.
5. Payments
Payments and escrow on the platform are handled through our third-party payment processor, [PAYMENT PROCESSOR, e.g., Stripe]. When you transact, your payment information is collected and processed by the processor under its own terms and privacy policy. We receive limited information such as transaction confirmation, amounts, and payout status, but we do not store complete card or bank account numbers. We encourage you to review the processor's privacy policy.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We and our partners use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember your preferences, understand usage, and improve performance. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may be asked to consent to non-essential cookies. You can usually control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling some may affect functionality.
[If you use analytics or advertising cookies — e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Pixel — name them here and link to opt-outs.]

10. International Data Transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than where you live, including [PRIMARY JURISDICTION, e.g., the United States]. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for transfers of personal information out of the UK/EU.
11. Children's Privacy
The Services are intended for users who are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
[If you intend to permit minors as artists, this section must be revised with counsel to address parental consent and applicable child-privacy laws such as COPPA.]
12. Third-Party Links and Services
The Services may contain links to third-party websites and integrations (such as social platforms and payment processors). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and this Policy does not apply to them. Please review their privacy policies.
